At Open Clear Capital, we’re thrilled to announce a major milestone in our journey to redefine digital finance. Our OCC-USD stablecoin, pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar and backed by U.S. Treasury Bills, has been successfully deployed on the Sonic Blaze Testnet, marking a critical step toward our Q3 2025 mainnet launch. This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering a transparent, secure, and high-speed stablecoin for global payments.

Under the leadership of CTO Daniel G. Cullen, our team has leveraged Sonic’s high-performance blockchain, capable of 400,000 transactions per second (TPS) and sub-second finality, to test and verify the OCCUSD smart contract. Integrated with a Chainlink oracle, the contract ensures real-time verification of USD reserves held in an Etana Custody account, setting a new standard for transparency. Users can query reserve balances directly, fostering trust in every transaction. “We’re not just building a stablecoin; we’re creating a trust-minimized ecosystem,” says Cullen.

Sonic’s ecosystem, with over 1 million wallets and a 43% surge in trading volume in the past 24 hours, provides the perfect foundation for OCC-USD’s scalability. Recent developments, like the Sonic Gateway for cross-chain interoperability with Ethereum and Solana, enhance our ability to reach 8.5 million wallets across Sonic, Cardano, and Fantom ecosystems. Our testnet deployment includes minting and burning functions, ensuring OCC-USD maintains its $1 peg with precision.

As we refine the contract using Hardhat and prepare for a Q2 2025 transparency webpage, we’re on track for a Q4 2025 real-time audit dashboard powered by Chainlink/Pyth. This progress aligns with our $750,000 Seed round and upcoming $50M Regulation A+ offering, fueling our path to a Q1 2026 NYSE American listing. Join us as we accelerate toward a future where digital cash is fast, affordable, and trusted worldwide.
